Top 5 players that should have been traded at the deadline | |
1.
John Bosque - 1B - VAN His power is completely decimated by the cavernous Nike, and with the lack of quality first basemen on contending teams, he could have fetched a fair sum. He is a little old, but has several good years left in him and in the right park, could challenge for the home run title on a yearly basis. |

2. Pedro
Valdes - P - LSV Sure Las Vegas needs him in the bullpen to win the few games they do, but one of the most underrated closers in the league is just biding his time until he can hit the free agent market. The Mirage could have gotten another veteran to tide over the infusing of young talent, or more prospects to bolster their already stellar farm system. |

3. Ellsworth Moris - OF - RAL His base-stealing and base-reaching abilities are among the tops in the league among leadoff men, and with Raleigh's poor run-production, he is just wasting away on the basepaths. He still has a few years left on his contract, but with the Renegades' surplus of outfield talent, the prospects they could have got for him would have been very helpful in the future. |

4. Carlos Cordova or
Otis
Ferro - 2B - WNS Two very good second basemen on the same team, same contending team at that, neither with a lot of power, both very good fielders. By DH'ing one of these two, the Slam waste a spot for a big bat and leave a good glove in the dugout in their bottom half of the inning. Any bat in return from a non-contender would have worked out nicely for both teams as these two are talented and relatively inexpensive. |

5. Michael Pal - 2B - ORL He is probably gone after this season, and with Orlando's farm system pretty thin, the youngsters gained for him would have been better than what they have now. Instead he is just going to keep hitting meaningless home runs in the Jungle. |
